Full Disclosure

The Federal Trade Commission has ruled that bloggers must disclose if they are being paid or compensated for their posts. In order to comply with this ruling, we’ve made this disclosure policy to let you know about our business practices.

Planet Red Rising is a blog/website that is written and edited by Meg and Kassiah, using content found in the RED RISING TRILOGY by Pierce Brown and various other sources. Our sole purpose is to provide a resource for fans and readers of RED RISING.

Sometimes we recommend products to you that you can purchase. We are an Amazon affiliate. That means that if you make a purchase after clicking on one of our Amazon links, we will receive a tiny percentage of the purchase price, possibly including purchases you make while on Amazon that we did not link directly to.

It works that way with Barnes & Noble, indieBound, The Book Depository, Cafe Press, too, and Zazzle.

We purchase almost everything on the site out of our own pockets–the hosting fees, the site maintenance, and most of the products we tell you about. Sometimes we will get the books ahead of time from Del Rey or (God-willing, Pierce Brown himself), and we may get Red Rising-inspired products with the expectation that we’ll review or recommend them. That has no bearing on how much we love it. If you send us something and we hate it, we’ll tell everyone. We’re honest 🙂

You might see advertisements in our sidebar, when you subscribe to our feed, or on some of our posts. Ya’ll know the drill–we aren’t endorsing those products, unless we are (and then we’ll tell you). And either way, we’re not forcing you to buy it or click on it. The bottom line is: we’ll tell you about what we like because we think you’ll like it, too. Not because we’re trying to sell you something.

If you have any questions about this (or anything else, really), contact one of us via our handy dandy contact form.

Sincerely,
Meg & Kassiah
